Singles Event : An Unexpected Match
Singles events what singles event, in the world of dating, it can be hard to find people to date in the first place, especially if you live in an area that has very few clubs, bars, or social events that offer a lot of interaction between single persons. Thankfully, over the last decade or so, there has been a singles revolution of sorts, with a bunch of new ideas for a singles event reaching the mainstream. If you’re a single person, there are a numerous ways today that you can meet people without feeling like you’re singled out.
An event were groups of single people come together and mingle is called speed dating nights. Depending on how many people are there and where the event is held, dictates the dating speed of these events, usually anywhere from three to eight minutes but the format remains the same. Simply put, groups of people come together, draw numbers or are randomly placed. When the whistle blows they move on to the next seat. Sometimes the event requires people of a particular profession or other area of compatibility.
At this type of singles event, pairs of people are placed together at a table or in an area just for them to date for up to eight minutes. The couples are allowed to have an abbreviated “date” to allow them to introduce themselves and get some general information about the other person’s likes and dislikes, as well as gauge how open and comfortable they would be in an actual dating situation. From there, the conversation can go on until the time expires, at which time the persons goes on to their next date.
